These Are The Online Tools & Services I Use To Create Profitable Online Businesses…
When it comes to how I run my business, I try to keep things as simple as I can…
That’s why it’s very important that I only use online tools and services that are easy to use, yet highly powerful and effective at the same time.
I’m a firm believer in simplicity not only in life, but in business as well.
With that being said, what I’ve listed below are my top “go to” tools, products, services and resources I’ve used to generate over 7-figures online over the past 13+ years.
As these change (and they always do), I will update this list.
Please note that some of the links below are affiliate links in which I will earn a small percentage of each sale (so thank you in advance if you decide to purchase through my affiliate links).
Ok, let’s jump right into them now…
SIMPLE + SECURE WEBSITE HOSTING
Flywheel
Many years ago I had a bad thing happen. I had about 6-7 websites hosted with one company that I won’t name here. All of these sites were self-hosted with WordPress (which I love). But what I didn’t do is fully protect my websites from online attacks and viruses.
Long story short, all of my sites got infected and trying to get them fixed was nothing short of trying to do brain surgery. I’d get the sites fixed, then BAM…they’d get hit again.
I’d had enough. It was time to move to a secure (and truly awesome!) hosting company that would make sure all of my sites were safe and secure. No more worries. No more hassles. All totally managed by real experts.
That’s why I moved to Flywheel and you should too if you want to make sure your site remains secure and safe (and always running smoothly). Plus they have your sites backed up in case anything bad should happen.
Awesome.
You can check out Flywheel here for yourself.
They’re an amazing team of experts and super friendly/responsive as well. You won’t regret the investment. I know I don’t.
WEBSITE BUILDING + LANDING PAGE CREATION
WordPress.org
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past several years, you’ve probably already heard about WordPress. It’s one of the most dynamic and flexible online platforms to build an online business.
I currently use WordPress for all my websites and have for years. It does require a bit of knowledge to edit or ”tweak” things to your liking, but once you know how to do that, you should be all set.
If your not quite like a perfectionist (and control freak) like I am, and want a quicker and easier alternative, I would highly recommend using Squarespace.com.
Thrive Themes
Thrive Themes is more than just another WordPress Theme. It’s elegant themes, powerful design tools and much more.
It’ll give you everything you need to setup quick landing pages, opt-in forms, do split-testing and even create evergreen funnels and quizzes. And the good news is, Thrive Themes continues to add amazing (and easily customizable) templates and tools as well.
If you can drag and drop, then you can create really stunning, professional pages and forms that’ll look as if they we’re created by a pro web designer.
This is worth every single penny of your investment in my opinion and it’ll not only save you a lot of time and money, but it’s downright fun to use.
Check out Thrive Themes here.
PRODUCT CREATION + IMAGES + ONLINE TRACKING
Pages
Pages is what I use to create my own documents, PDF’s, ebooks, cheat sheets, etc. with ease. Pages makes document creation super simple. You can easily modify images, text, and more with just a few clicks, and then convert to PDF with one click.
If you’re not a Mac user, you can do most of the same in Microsoft Word, which I actually still use from time to time as well.
ClickMagick
When you want to track your links on your website, in emails, or in your paid marketing efforts, a great tool I use is ClickMagick. ClickMagick really makes tracking super simple.
But it doesn’t stop there…
You can easily do A/B split testing, run rotators, do retargeting, and even track your entire marketing funnel. It has a really clean and easy-to-use interface, and is super simple to set up…plus it’s highly affordable.
I can’t recommend ClickMagick enough. Try ClickMagick for free here.
Canva
Canva is an online publishing tool that lets you create a wide variety of images, documents, ebooks, and even social media images with super simplicity. All you have to do is pick the appropriate template, and then customize to your liking with a few drag and drops. It really couldn’t be any easier.
I use Canva when I want to create banners, short documents, or even social media posts.
EMAIL MARKETING + SHOPPING CART SERVICE
ConvertKit
“The Money Is In The List”…the email list that is. If you’re not building an email list, your business is losing out on a huge amount of profits. It’s essential that you build an email list through your website by offering free products or free newsletters.
One of the best tools to do this is by using ConvertKit. ConvertKit is a ”subscriber” based email marketing tool that lets you build email opt-in forms and even landing pages in a really powerful way.
For years I used Aweber, but ConvertKit changed everything for me. Try it here.
(Update: I’m trying out and testing Drip right now, and so far, it looks VERY promising as well for more advanced email marketers.)
DPD Shopping Cart
Last but not least, when you’ve finally created your first ebook, physical book or DVD, or even an online course, you need a system in place to SELL it. DPD (Digital Product Delivery) has you covered.
This amazing platform lets you sell BOTH digital and physical products with multiple ”stores”, hosts your products, integrates with your email service, and SO much more for a flat (and very reasonable!) monthly fee. Try it free for 30 days here.
